The Oval

Our fair city has a grand boulevard in the European tradition that unites City Hall with the beloved Museum of Art. Eakins Oval sits at the base of icon stairs and has recently been used for programming and events. In 2018, we were selected to be the Oval Artist. Our task? Install a 56,000 square foot mural onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway leading to the Oval. With the theme of uniting city and park, we set out to paint the town. This project was a beast and it would not have been possible without the amazing folks at Fairmount Park Conservancy, Mural Arts, Philly Parks and Rec, Streets Department, and Port Urbanism.
